FNS produces regular educational briefings on an array of nuclear topics. Pictured here is a briefing with the Global America Business Institute (GABI) titled US Nuclear Exports and 123 Agreements: The Impact on Jobs and the Economy.
In 2019 FNS led a Congressional staff delegation to France to tour Orano's nuclear fuel reprocessing plant at la Hague. Orano Group is the world leader in the recycling of used nuclear fuel from reactors worldwide and making it reusable in new nuclear fuel.
FNS facilitates several industry networking opportunities each year. From our annual NAYGN/NEI/Nuclear Matters reception to happy hours for women energy professionals to intimate 20-1 dinners with policymakers, FNS brings nuclear science thought leaders and stakeholders together to discuss important issues of the day.
The Foundation for Nuclear Studies, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, provides information and educational opportunities for policymakers and the general public about nuclear science and technology, with the objective of promoting sound national policy. In pursuit of its mission, the Foundation sponsors a highly regarded Congressional Briefing Series with forums on a broad spectrum of issues related to nuclear technology, ranging from medical isotopes to the transportation of nuclear materials. The events attract high-quality speakers and seek to provide a balanced presentation of differing perspectives. These programs are underwritten by the generous support of our donors.
